INDY FRINGE 2013:  “La Vie, L’Amour (Life, Love)
A young woman follows her lover to Paris to live the exotic life of a struggling artist. Her adventure is an emotional ride, evoking memories of passion, romance, and despair.  A story interwoven with classic and contemporary French-inspired music from Cole Porter, Edith Piaf, Pink Martini, Jacques Brel, and Les Miserables, which reflects our shared experiences of life and love. Featuring Gail Payne (vocals) and David Duncan (piano). Directed by Mark Goetzinger.

GAIL PAYNE
After many years in local choirs, I took a chance on my solo cabaret career in 2012.  My successful performances at the Cabaret at the Columbia Club led to my acceptance in the International Cabaret Conference at Yale University in the fall of 2012.  I was one of 20 artists from four countries studying the art of cabaret with award-winning performers, composers and musicians.  In the 2013 IndyFringe Festival, Aug. 15-25, I wrote, produced and starred in "La Vie, L'Amour (Life, Love): A Cabaret" with pianist David Duncan. I'm eager to continue expanding my vocal performance experiences through cabaret, theatre and jazz.
