BIOGRAPHY

Gail Payne, APR, established The Goods: Thoughtful Marketing, Authentic Living in 2007 to help position Indianapolis as a competitive global city by promoting and advocating for its arts, culture, fitness, environmental issues, and the local food economy.  She has provided fundraising, public relations, marketing, fundraising and branding expertise for a variety of local and national organizations.    

In late 2013, Gail purchased All People Yoga Center, Inc. Established in 2000, All People Yoga Center is one of the oldest, most well-respected yoga studios in Indianapolis. It features a wide range of classes for beginning to advanced students, for all ages, proving that yoga is truly for all people. 

Gail also served as the Director of Marketing and Communications for Central Indiana Community Foundation (CICF) for six years, where she led an awarding-winning branding campaign, launched two multi-million dollar, long-term community initiatives, and established the “CICF Giving Guide” and other strategies that helped the Foundation double its assets from $340 million in 2001 to more than $640 million today.  Through CICF, Gail participated on various city and state-wide initiatives including Indianapolis, USA (an initiative of the Mayor of Indianapolis to promote Indy nationally and internationally), the Family Strengthening Coalition (a city-wide effort to promote this issue and engage residents), and the Indiana Grantmakers Alliance Community Foundation Marketing Committee (a statewide project to promote community foundations in Indiana).

Gail has also worked in marketing, branding, and communications for the local accounting firm, BKD, LLP, Barnes & Thornburg, and Locke Reynolds law firms. 

An active runner, cyclist, and singer, Gail is a board member of IndyCog, past board member of the Public Relations Society of America, past chair of the Communications Ministry Team at Second Presbyterian Church, former board member of the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra and former board member of The Cabaret at the Columbia Club.  She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Communication and Public Relations from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale in 1993 and her Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) in 2005.
